Mission& Vision

Shishuram Das College started its journey on 9th July 2010 as a Government Aided Co-Educational Degree College affiliated to The University of Calcutta. Since its establishment the college has aimed at propagating quality education among the students. The college is located within Diamond Harbour Block II area and it is surrounded by many reputed educational institutions like Diamond Harbour Women’s University, The NeotiaUnviersity, Sarisha High School, Sarisha Ramakrishna Mission and Sarisha Sarada Mandir (Primary Teachers Training Institute).

The mission of the college has always been the development of the students, irrespective of their caste, religion and culture, through higher education and social consciousness. The college is always engaged in motivating its students to achieve academic distinction and excellence in every sphere of culture and administration. Besides propagating education, the college also aims to help the students in realizing their abilities and also to inspire them to know each and every scope of self-employment and entrepreneurship that can bring success in their future life. The aim of the college is not only to educate students but also to inculcate values in them and harbour a strong personality in each of them so that they can become the responsible citizens of modern India.

We are planning to build an educational hub in our 5.08 acres of land occupied by the society in the near future. In addition to various academic and financial projects our future plan also includes the ambitious establishment of several extensions like career counseling and placement cell, health unit, social service unit and students hostel to extend additional infrastructural support to our students for their academic benefits and all round development.
