About the Department of Sanskrit

The Department of Sanskrit was established in 2017 with General Course. The Department has devoted itself in spreading the traditional knowledge systems of India and revitalising Sanskrit language. The undergraduate courses are aimed at familiarising different streams of knowledge specially language and literature to the students and generating a lasting interest in our Indian knowledge systems in them. This effort help them in pursuing further studies in this field. The aim of the department is to attract and inspire more and more students to study this ancient Indian language in future.

Our Approach to Education:

Guided by the University's directives and our institution's academic committee, we had successfully embraced a dynamic blend of the Choice-Based Credit System (CBCS) and the traditional annual system of learning. Now, we have adopted to NEP 2020 (Three-year B.A. Multi-Disciplinary Courses). This approach ensures that our students receive a holistic education that is both comprehensive and adaptable.

Vission:

Getting the knowledge of an ancient language and being richer by the knowledge of Indian culture, philosophy, history, science, mathematics etc. To get a better life with a wise mind and make students ambassadors of our rich cultural heritage.

Mission:

Teach the language by interesting and innovative ways that students can read, write and speak in Sanskrit and get the knowledge of ancient literature effortlessly. Motivate new generation about their country and society by giving moral education.
